Dr. Ben Kawata, his practice group and his staff are kind, patient, respectful and practice the Golden Rule (ie, “Do unto others as you would want others to do unto you.”). I’m new to this practice and can already tell this is going to be a long relationship. The office staff is friendly and helpful when making appointments and checking out. The hygienist was very thorough and friendly without asking too many questions, which sometimes happens. As everyone knows, it’s difficult to answer questions when your teeth are being cleaned. The dr. Checked the X-rays and made recommendations for future services needed without pushing cosmetic dentistry. Parking is available in front of their building, which is often hard to find in the west side of Los Angeles.

Every one knows how it feel when a dentist give you an anesthesia on the gum, even they put a local numbing cream first and told you, "you will feel just a little poke!" But you knew, most of the time it's actually pretty painful. BUT, I finally found a great doctor who's really meant what he said- Dr. Ben Kawata. I really just feel a little poke and nothing after. First time in my life I almost felt asleep when he was taking care of my cavity (if not because of the drilling sound and my jaw was sore). Highly recommend if you are afraid to see a dentist like me. Thank you, Dr Ben Kawata!

Ben Kawata is a true dental professional. Me and my entire extended family have been going to this location for close to 40 years. My father originally met Dr. Kobayashi (the previous dentist in charge of the facility) during his times at UCLA and we have stuck with the business since then. The office was eventually taken over by the Kawata family (friends of hers) after she passed. The quality has not only been maintained since 4 decades ago, but also significantly improved. Dr Ben uses state of the art technology and I always leave knowing I'm in good hands. My parents go here, I have gone here since childhood, and I'm quite confident my children will also go here.
